GROUND-BREAKING
SIGN OF "WINGS" TO COME IN LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA,
APRIL 19, 2005 -- Hooters girls in tool belt and hard hats lead
officials and guests through a creative ground-breaking ceremony
today for the new Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, scheduled to
open early next year. The ownership group from the new Hooters
Casino Hotel and Officers from Penta Construction Company,
overseeing the renovation project, participated in the ceremony.
"This
new facility will feature elements from the enormously successful
Hooters Restaurant concept that is one of the most recognizable
brands in the country," commented Michael Hessling, Chief
Operating Officer for the new Hooters Casino Hotel, "The casino
will be 'Hooters'-themed, the rooms are getting a complete makeover,
and the pool and
cabana area will be the place to be seen in Las Vegas."
The Hooters Hotel
Casino will be a one stop fun experience and "the cure for the
common casino." You can enjoy upscale dining at Dan Marino's
Fine Food and Spirits, slip into "13" for a martini, lay
down five large at Pete and Shorty's sports book, slide out to the
Hooters Beach Club for music and cocktails, there's sushi at the
Bait Shoppe, and for that overnight hunger attack, a 24 hour Roy’s
Place Cafe.
"Hooters has 381
worldwide locations from Aruba to Venezuela and bringing the Hooters
fun concept to the fun capital of the world seemed an obvious choice
for us," stated Neil Kiefer, Chief Executive Officer for the
new Hooters Hotel Casino and President and Chief Executive Officer
of Hooters, Incorporated.
The Penta Building
Group was selected to head up the Hooters Casino Hotel
renovation project. Ken Albers is Vice President at Penta and is
looking forward to the
comprehensive renovation. "The project will cost $65.1 million,
take approximately a year to complete, and the construction site
alone should become a tourist attraction," commented Albers.

HOTEL SAN RÉMO
GETS BRANDED
|
|
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA,
AUGUST 17, 2004 -- Just when Vegas thought it was okay to come out
from the blockbuster mergers, the Hôtel San Rémo Casino and Resort
announced their venture with the founders of the Hooters Restaurant
Chain to create . . . you guessed it . . . the Hooters Casino Hotel.
Under the 17 year
ownership of Japanese investor, Mr. S. Izumi, the Hôtel San Rémo
has seen many changes along the Strip from its location at 115 East
Tropicana Blvd., and will itself now undergo a substantial
transformation commencing in the spring of 2005.
The San Rémo's
Executive Vice President, Mike Hessling, is looking forward to the
changes. "We've been a long time player near the Strip, but
this brings a world famous brand and a unique niche to the Vegas
scene."
|
| The
711 room hotel and casino resort will remain open as it evolves into
an oasis of carefree fun and entertainment for which the famous
Hooters brand is so well known. While guests can expect to see
Hooters Girls throughout Hooters Casino Hotel, alternatives in
dining and entertainment will also be featured. In addition to a
Hooters Restaurant adjacent to the casino floor, a Dan Marino's Fine
Food and Spirits restaurant
and its extremely popular
Martini Bar will be
added, along with the sports fan favorite, Pete & Shorty's Book
and Bar. A lighter fare health club, The Bait Shoppe
fresh market and sushi bar, Porch Dogs, and Nippers Pool Bar will be included, to inject Hooters energy and
style into the dramatic new tropical pool area. |
Hooters President,
Neil Kiefer, says, "We think we have a winner in bringing the
notoriety and wackiness of our brand together with this great
location and the experienced and dedicated folks of the San Rémo."
A grand opening is
planned for the first quarter of 2006, or, as the new partners in the Hooters Casino
Hotel say; "What happens in Vegas, happens in 2006."
