Was the Hotel San Rémo sold?

The Eastern and Western Hotel Corp. has owned and operated the Hôtel San Rémo for the last 15 years. We have now entered into a joint venture with nine partners from the Hooters organization. Together we have formed a new ownership group and the San Rémo will become "Hooters Casino Hotel", Las Vegas,  in the first quarter of 2006.  

I have been coming to the Hôtel San Rémo for years. What is happening to the team members? They are like my family.

We know that many of you have a strong relationship with our friendly team members and look forward to seeing them during your stay with us. Our 500 team members have been assured that job opportunities & training will be available for anyone who would like a chance to become part of the Hooters family.

I am a member of the Money Club. Will I keep my points?

Yes, the points you've earned will be maintained in your account and will be waiting for you on your next visit. After we convert to Hooters Casino Hotel, your points will be good for an additional 12 months, at which time they will be deleted.

Will the hotel be closed during the renovation?

Our hotel and casino will remain open through January 2nd, at which time we will close to the public for a few weeks to allow time for our Team Members to be thoroughly trained and complete the final renovations. We plan to re-open in the first quarter of 2006 as Hooters Casino Hotel, providing the best customer service possible!

Is it going to be noisy during that time?

Customer service is always our #1 priority. We plan to make this renovation as seamless as possible, in order not to disturb our loyal guests. Temporary walls will be put up so that you won't even notice that we are creating new and exciting venues.

What is the timeline?

The transformation of Hotel San Rémo into Hooters Casino Hotel began on April 19, and the renovation is expected to take 10 months. Some of the changes include several new restaurants and bars, and a complete "Hooterization" of our casino.

What else will there be besides a Hooters Restaurant?

In addition to our signature Hooters Restaurant, dining options will include Dan Marino's Fine Food and Spirits which will be built in the front of the Casino. Adjacent to Dan Marino's there will be the extremely popular Martini Bar.  Plans also include a new Sports book featuring Pete & Shorty's Book and Bar.  We are known for the "Best Sushi in Vegas," and our new Bait Shoppe will feature fresh sushi and sashimi each day, as well as wraps and other healthy delights, including smoothies and fresh fruits. The pool area will be enlarged and will include Porch Dogs and Nippers Pool Bar.

How about a Health Club and Spa?

Whether you want to work up a sweat or spend some time relaxing and be pampered; we will offer it all in our new Health Club and Spa which will be located just adjacent to the pool area.
